Cyberpunk 2077 is CD Projekt Red’s latest sci-fi RPG. The game had been eagerly anticipated by many people and released in a very underwhelming state. This led to a great deal of internet drama and corporate fights within the company and the community.

This has, however, not stopped many players from pushing through these bugs and glitches and exploring Night City for themselves. But there are still a lot of game-breaking bugs that players are encountering very frequently. One such bug is related to “hacking the router” in the “In The Name Of Killing” side job in the game.

This guide contains everything you need to know about fixing the bug.

How To Fix The Router Bug In Cyberpunk 2077

The bug in question arises when players take on the side job, “In The Name of Killing“. Many players are encountering a bug wherein they are not able to hack the router and progress further in the mission. Follow the steps below for an easy fix:

  1. Firstly, we would require to load a save game before taking up the job. Also, be sure to quicksave as often as possible to fix this bug efficiently.
  2. Revert back to your default OS that has some hacking abilities.
  3. Complete the quest as you would do otherwise just before reaching the hacking objective.
  4. Now, all you need to do is approach the objective from the ground level and climb through the fire escape to reach the router.
  5. Now, a prompt to hack the router should appear. Simply interact with that, and complete the minigame.

And voila. you should have fixed the bug by now. The credit for fixing the bug goes to a Youtuber by the name of LethalLev. It’s a shame that the game had to release in such an unfinished state and we hope the game get’s fixed as soon as possible.
