Developers’ Hexworks upcoming souls-like and the newest entry in the Lords of the Fallen franchise, The Lords of the Fallen, puts you in a similar situation that many of the souls game and souls-like do whenever a player starts a new journey—putting a difficult tutorial boss which is meant to kill and direct you towards the game world, from where you start your journey, power up and take on foes, eventually meeting and overcoming them.
But, every such battle is overcome by some players in a league of their own. No, we are not talking about the mad lads, LetMeSoloHer, Ongbal, or, others, but about the Twitch Streamer and Speedrunner, Elajjaz, who managed to defeat the tutorial boss in Lords of The Fallen that is set to release on October 13, 2023.

Ongbal and a few other Streamers and content creators have also beaten the tutorial boss in Lords of the Fallen.

What Happens If You Defeat Tutorial Boss “The Lightreaper” In The Lords Of The Fallen
When you defeat the tutorial boss, “The Lightreaper” in Lords of the Fallen, you get several boss items, a new cutscene, new NPC dialogue interactions and a ton of souls, aka Vigor.
Usually, when you die, The Lightreaper will try to take the Umbral Lamp from you but is stopped by The Iron Wayfarer NPC. After that you spawn at the last Vestige, from where you can head to the graveyard and collect the dropped Vigor and continue the game.
But when you, The Lightreaper, The Iron Wayfarer NPC, still come to the arena this time to collect the heart-like item supposedly powering The Lightreaper.
Note
Many players have reported that The Lightreaper hunts the player throughout the game. Now, since we don’t have access to the game, we cannot confirm whether the boss still hunts players in some manner or form, even when you defeat him during the tutorial. We will update this section soon.

Lords Of The Fallen Tutorial Boss The Lightreaper Items Drops & More
When you defeat The Lightreaper during the tutorial phase, you will get a whooping 18,000 Vigor, which gives you around six to seven level ups and a ton of items.
To make things easier, we have listed every item that The Lightreaper drops in Lords of the Fallen:
- Vestige Seed x1
- Umbral Scouring x25
- Lightreaper Flesh x1
- The Lightreaper’s Unbral Parasite x1
Moreover, when you use the Umbral Lamp to look into The Lightreaper’s memory fragment after the battle, you get two more items:
- Umbral Scouring x2
- Remembrance of the Lightreaper x1
