Hitman 3 is IO Interactive first self-published Hitman and is going rampant in terms of sales, recouping its development costs within a week. The game is a much darker and more story-focused experience than its predecessors. Many reviews read that Hitman 3 is the best platform to play the previous Hitman games, which has sparked a lot of questions in the minds of fans about whether Hitman 3 includes the previous games.

Does Hitman 3 Include Hitman 1 and Hitman 2?

The simple answer is no. Hitman 3’s base game only includes a set of brand new levels which are arguably the best in the series. That being said, players can add levels of the previous games into Hitman 3 if they wish.

Players on consoles such as the PlayStation 4 and 5 and the Xbox consoles can directly include the levels if they own the previous games. In the case they don’t, they can either purchase the games separately or download an add-on for Hitman 3 from the respective store.

Players on the PC platform have to jump through a couple of hoops to get the thing to work. The first 2 games were available via Steam while the third game is an Epic Games Store exclusive. To carry over the saves and progression of the first 2 games, players will need to visit the official website and log in to their IO Interactive accounts. Then it’s simply a matter of following the steps and everything should be ready to go.

One thing to note is that players are advised to carry over the saves and progression before starting Hitman 3’s levels as many reports have circulated regarding the wiping of saves of either of the games.
