The second iteration in The Forest franchise, Sons of Forest, is a direct sequel that expands over the original notion while introducing nuances to the gameplay and survival system well curated with a brand new story, making it one of the most wish-listed games on Steam.
On February 23, 2023, when players tried to download the purchase, Sons of Forest were unable to complete their purchase as Steam was continuously crashing. And some who were able to get the game were facing download issues.

How To Fix Unable To Download Sons of Forest Using Steam On PC
At the time of writing this guide, Sons of Forest launched a few minutes ago, and due to a ton of players trying to download the game at the same time, Steam is crashing and throwing different errors, such as “An error was encountered while processing your request” and others.
There are two ways to fix the issue: firstly, you can wait for a few hours, and when things settle down, you can start restart Steam and begin the Sons of Forest download.
Secondly, you can avoid multiple clicks on Steam and wait till your response is registered. In simple words, do not click on the game or “Add to Cart” multiple times. Doing so will crash the Steam Client, and you have to restart.
We managed to purchase and install the game by clicking on the Add to Cart button once and then waiting for a few seconds till the Steam client let us into the payment process. Before that, we were continuously clicking and getting errors. So, you can try that or else wait for a few hours.
