Valheim is an extremely popular survival game, developed by Iron Gate Studios and made available via Steam’s Early Access. The game has equal parts survival elements and roguelike ones which when combined with it’s Viking-themed setting, becomes oh so tantalizing to get lost in.
Just like most survival games, fishing is an integral part of finding resources in the game. The basic pre-requisite is to get a fishing rod. Keep reading below to find out where to get it.
Where To Get Fishing Rod?
A fishing rod can’t be found anywhere on Valhiem’s map and can’t be crafted from materials. Instead, players will have to purchase the item from a merchant by the name of Haldor. Haldor’s location can’t be pinpointed exactly, since Valheim is a procedurally generated game. However, he can be found around the Black Forest biome, mostly in the center part. That being said, his location will change with every run so be on the lookout.
The cost of the fishing rod is a bit high, as the item costs a whopping 350 gold coins. However, the bait that accompanies this rod is a lot cheaper. 50 bait can be purchased for a mere 10 gold coins and then players can get down to start their fishing.
