First and foremost you need to mine Cobblestone which is the CORE MATERIAL to make Smooth Stone. It will also enable you to make various things like a Furnace which will you will need down the road in making a Smooth Stone!

Step 2: Craft A Furnace

To craft a Furnace you will need 8 Cobblestones which you must have mined by now! Now in a Crafting Table place these Cobblestones in the outer-boxes leaving the center empty to craft a Furnace.

Step 3: Mine Some Fuel Like Coal For Smelting Cobblestone

Coal is the most used fuel for smelting or cooking items in a Furnace, Smoker or a Blast Furnace. Make sure to collect plenty of Coal that will last for a while!

Step 4: Place The Cobblestone In The Uppermost Box And Coal In The Lowermost Box Of The Furnace

Step 5: Place The Stone Block Obtained In The Uppermost Box And Add More Fuel If Required (Don’t Add If Not Required)
